Emerson EC3-X33 Details
Description
The EC3 is a stand-alone universal superheat controller for stable superheat control with stepper motor driven electronic control valves and is used for air conditioning, refrigeration and industrial applications such as chillers, industrial process cooling rooftops, heat pumps, package units, close controls, cold room, food process and air driers. The EC3-X33 requires the use of the ECD-002 display key pad unit for setting up the controller.

Superheat Alarms: Provides low and high superheat alarms for enhanced safety.
Sensor Monitoring: Monitors sensors and wiring, detecting failures for reliable operation.
Preparation for Start-up
Evacuate the Entire Refrigeration Circuit: Ensure the entire refrigeration circuit is evacuated before proceeding.
Warning: Emerson Electrical Control Valves EX4 to EX8 are delivered in a half-open position. Do not charge the system with refrigerant until the valve is fully closed.
Apply Supply Voltage: Connect 24V supply voltage to the EC3-X33 while keeping the digital input at 0V. This will drive the valve to its closed position.
