REXROTH Electrical amplifiers FAQ
A: The REXROTH Electrical amplifiers includes a built-in step function generator designed to bypass the physical overlap of the valve spool. When a command voltage exceeding 100 mV is applied, the Rexroth VT-5006 instantly creates a polarity-dependent step-change signal to rapidly move the valve spool out of its dead-band, drastically improving hydraulic system response times.
A: The measurement zero (M0, pin 26c) on the REXROTH Electrical amplifiers is raised by +9 V relative to the 0V operating voltage line. You must never connect the M0 terminal directly to the 24V DC power supply ground, as this unisolated voltage differential will cause an electrical short and instantly destroy the internal circuitry of the REXROTH Electrical amplifiers.
A: If you want to enable the output stages continuously without relying on an external 24V signal at the enable terminal, you can configure the internal jumpers on the circuit board. By setting jumper J7 on the REXROTH Electrical amplifiers card, the enable input becomes ineffective, and the Rexroth VT-5006 remains continuously operational.
A: The green LED (H12) on the Rexroth VT-5006 indicates trouble-free operation and will immediately turn off if a fault occurs. This happens if the internal ±9 V power supply becomes asymmetrical, if there is a short-circuit in the solenoid cables, or if a cable break is detected in the position transducer connected to the VT-5006 Electrical amplifiers.
A: The VT-5006 Electrical amplifiers features four independent command value inputs controlled by internal relays (K1 to K4). If more than one input is mistakenly activated at the same time by the PLC, the VT-5006 Electrical amplifiers uses a strict higher-number priority logic; for example, if command 1 and command 3 are energized together, command 3 will take complete precedence.
