The TU842 MTU can have up to 16 I/O channels and 2+2 process voltage connections. Each channel has two I/O connections and one ZP connection. The maximum rated voltage is 50 V and maximum rated current is 3 A per channel.

Network Interfacing and Modulation: It acts as the primary interface between the internal backplane communication of the Micro TDC 3000 system components and the external Network Interface Module (NIM) network.
Physical Layer Connectivity: It provides the necessary electrical and physical connections to the NIM network cabling (typically coaxial), ensuring a stable and secure link for data flow across the distributed control system.
