The NTCF22 serves as a bi-directional optical-to-electrical and electrical-to-optical converter, specifically tailored for the INFI-Net, which is the high-speed communication network used by the INFI 90 system. It enables the control system to extend its communication reach and enhance noise immunity by leveraging the advantages of fiber optics.

Signal Conversion: It accurately converts electrical signals from the control modules into light pulses for transmission over fiber optic cables, and conversely, converts incoming light pulses back into electrical signals for the control modules.
