IS220PPROH1A General Electric Turbine Protection Module

Tthe IS220PPROH1A acts as a dedicated protection processor and I/O interface. It's engineered to provide independent overspeed protection and backup generator synchronization checks, ensuring the reliability and safety of both gas and steam turbines. While the primary control system handles normal operations, the PPRO module functions as a critical watchdog, capable of initiating protective shutdowns if it detects severe anomalies or failures in the main control.

This module is designed for robust performance in demanding industrial environments. It features its own local processor and data acquisition board, allowing it to execute its protection logic autonomously. The IS220PPROH1A also comes equipped with dual independent Ethernet ports, facilitating communication within the Mark VIe system. Its compatibility with Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architectures further enhances system availability by allowing three modules to work in parallel, providing continuous protection even if one unit experiences a fault.
