The GE IC670MDL930J is a highly versatile 8-point relay output module designed for use within GE Fanuc's Field Control distributed I/O system. This module provides robust control for a wide range of industrial loads, offering both AC and DC output capabilities.
A key feature of the IC670MDL930J is its mixed contact configuration and individual channel isolation. It includes a combination of Normally Open (Form A) contacts and Normally Open/Normally Closed (Form C) contacts, providing flexibility for diverse control applications. Each output channel is electrically isolated from other channels and from the backplane, which enhances reliability by preventing crosstalk, suppressing electrical noise, and protecting against fault propagation.

Feature
8 Isolated Relay Outputs: Provides 8 independent output channels, each with its own electrical isolation. This crucial feature protects individual circuits from faults in others and shields the control system from noise and voltage spikes from field devices.
High Current Capacity (2 Amps per point): Each relay output is capable of switching up to 2 Amps of current, suitable for directly controlling pilot lights, small solenoids, motor starter coils, and other moderate loads.
Hot-Swappable: Designed for hot-swapping, enabling module replacement without powering down the entire Field Control system or disturbing field wiring. This minimizes downtime and simplifies maintenance.
