Description

The CNT204 R serves as a specialized input module within the Bachmann M1 Control System rack. Its primary function is to accurately count pulses from various types of sensors, making it invaluable for applications requiring precise measurement of position, speed, or quantity.

The module provides four 32-bit counter inputs. Two of these channels are particularly versatile, as they can optionally be configured to receive signals from incremental encoders. This allows for highly accurate position detection and speed measurement, crucial for motion control systems. The other two channels can be used as general-purpose counter inputs for single-line pulse generators (e.g., from proximity sensors or flow meters).
