Batteries
The BKM-0001 module is equipped with non-rechargeable lithium batteries that provide backup power to preserve diagnostic messages, maintain the real-time clock on QPP modules, and retain FTE IP addresses during power outages. These batteries do not recharge, so their backup time accumulates over use. Each battery has an approximate backup duration of 3 months. For extended periods of inactivity or during transport, the batteries can be turned off using the battery switch located on the module. It is advisable to replace the batteries every five years or after any significant discharge. Battery replacement is straightforward and requires no special tools. The side plate of the BKM-0001 module features an opening for easy access to the battery and switch. |

Reset Key Switch

Functionality
The Reset key switch is used to clear the diagnostics database and reset (restart) the watchdog.

Default Position
The switch defaults to the OFF position and will automatically return to this position after being set to ON. The key can only be removed when the switch is in the OFF (vertical) position.

Key Difference
The Reset key switch requires a distinct key from the Force Enable key switch. Each switch operates with its own specific key to prevent accidental or unauthorized operation.
