Compatibility

CENTUM VP: This is Yokogawa's current flagship DCS, and the ADV159-P00 S1 (or similar ADV modules) are key components within its architecture.

CENTUM CS 3000: It's also compatible with earlier generations like CENTUM CS 3000, indicating a degree of backward compatibility within Yokogawa's system evolution.

System Software/Firmware: Its operation is dependent on the specific firmware/software version of the Yokogawa DCS controller (FCS) it is integrated with. This ensures proper communication, configuration, and data processing.

Features

32 Isolated Digital Input Channels: It provides 32 independent input channels, each galvanically isolated. 

Pushbutton Input Support: A specific feature is its ability to reliably detect momentary ON/OFF signals from pushbuttons.

Fast Input Response Time: It boasts a rapid input response time of 8 ms for status inputs, ensuring quick detection of changes in field device states, which is vital for real-time process control.

Application

Process Monitoring and Status Indication: This is a primary application. The ADV159-P00 S1 receives ON/OFF signals from limit switches, pressure switches, flow switches, level switches, safety interlocks, and other discrete field devices. 

Sequential Control and Interlocking: In many industrial processes, operations follow a specific sequence or require certain conditions to be met before proceeding.

Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Systems : While HIMA provides dedicated safety PLCs, in some integrated architectures, non-safety-rated digital inputs might be used for less critical shutdowns or to provide status to the DCS about an ESD system's state.
