Product Details
DSSR 170 is used in systems with redundant power converters. In addition to the normal requirements given by (n+1) redundancy, redundancy can also be obtained by installing additional conditioning units.
The standard configuration is 1 DSSS 17l and 3 DSSR 170. DSSS 171 is installed on the leftmost position of DSBB 188 in the power bus plane.
Insert the regulator into the remaining slots on the DSBB 188, one of which must be inserted in the rightmost position. The power bus plane DSBB 188 is mounted at the rear of the l/0 subrack.
You can replace the voltage regulator unit DSSR 170 with (n+l) redundancy in a live system without disturbing the system operation.
When replacing a regulator, the new unit must be placed in the same location as the unit being replaced. The upper set screw has a switch function: tighten to activate the regulator.
The DSSR 170 is monitored by an internal discriminator "WATCH", which: blocks the regulator in the event of undervoltage (< +16 V), signals a functional fault REGFAlL-N and indicates the functional status (IVE with green LED, FAll with green LED) with rd LED).
The output voltage and maximum load current are set by the control circuit "REG CTRL".
