Description: The A6824 EMERSON ModBus and Rack Interface Module is a 3U, 1-slot plug-in module designed for critical rotating machinery applications. It supports ModBus TCP/IP and RTU communication, integrating seamlessly with AMS 6500 modules for API 670-compliant machinery protection. Featuring hot-swappability, password-protected configuration, and self-checking diagnostics, it ensures high reliability. The A6824 serves multiple 19” racks, while the A6824R variant offers redundancy for IMR6500 series racks. Its compact 6TE or 4TE design reduces cabinet space requirements, optimizing industrial automation and predictive maintenance. Feature: Compact Design – 3U, 1-slot plug-in module, reducing cabinet space by half compared to traditional 6U cards. Reliable Communication – Supports ModBus TCP/IP and ModBus RTU (serial) for seamless data exchange. API 670 Compliance – Ensures compatibility with industry-standard machinery protection systems.
