7662 AMCI SSI Interface Module

Description:

The 7662 module uses 8 input and 8 output registers to communicate with the PLC.  The Position, Velocity, Actual SSI data, Latched Value, and Status information are reported to the Input Registers.  All module setup parameters, including Preset Value, Count Direction, Velocity Response Time, Display Format, as well as the SSI-Logic parameters [Data Type (binary or gray code), Data Logic (positive or negative), Number of Clock Bits, Number of Data Bits, MSB Number, and Clock Frequency] are programmed through the Output registers assigned to the module.     

Features:

• Two-Channel SSI Interface: The module offers two independent channels for connecting to SSI absolute position sensors. 

• Direct Sensor Interface: It provides a direct interface to most sensors that output SSI data, simplifying wiring and reducing the need for intermediate signal converters. 

• High Resolution: The resolution of the position data acquired by the module is limited only by the resolution of the connected SSI position sensor itself.

• Onboard Fault Diagnostics: The module incorporates intelligent onboard diagnostics that constantly monitor system integrity and report any errors directly to the PLC.
