Keyphasor® and Speed Measurement: In conjunction with other system components, the probe can be used to generate a once-per-revolution signal (Keyphasor) by sensing a keyway or notch on a rotating shaft. 

Machinery Protection: The data collected by the probe is fed into a machinery protection system (like the Bently Nevada 3500 series) which can automatically shut down the machine if vibration or position levels exceed pre-set alarm thresholds, preventing catastrophic failure.

Vibration and Position Measurement: The probe measures both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) changes in the position of a rotating shaft.
