FOXBORO FBM242 Details
OVERVIEW | The FBM242 Discrete Output Module features 16 externally sourced discrete output channels, each rated up to 2A at 60V DC. Associated termination assemblies (TAs) offer flexibility, allowing outputs to power loads of 2A at 60V DC, relay outputs of 120V AC/125V DC or 240V AC, or relay outputs with power distribution and fusing. Each channel is fully isolated from others and ground, ensuring reliable operation. The module interfaces control processor signals to field devices, supports ladder logic via a digital I/O program, and offers a Fail-Safe Configuration option for enhanced safety. |
FEATURES | Sixteen discrete outputs supporting a variety of signals. Handles discrete output signals with voltages of 15 to 60 V DC, 120 V AC/125 V DC, and 240 V AC. Galvanic isolation for each input/output, with group isolation available using external excitation. Rugged design suited for Class G3 harsh environments. Executes Discrete I/O or Ladder Logic programs with configurable options like Input Filter Time, Fail-Safe Configuration, Fail-Safe Fall-Back, and Sustained/Momentary Outputs. |
STANDARD DESIGN | The FBM242 Discrete Output Module is designed with a rugged extruded aluminum exterior, offering excellent physical protection for its internal circuits. It is built to withstand demanding industrial environments, with enclosures specifically designed for mounting the FBMs that provide varying levels of environmental protection. These enclosures can support harsh environments, classified as Class G3, in compliance with the ISA Standard S71.04. This durable design ensures reliable performance and longevity in challenging operational conditions. |
