1771-IBD Allen Bradley Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IBD Series B Input module is equipped with a unique assembled plastic cover that is only compatible with the 960364-05 and 961344-01 products. This cover is installed close to the backplane edge connector pins on the components side of the circuit board. Ensure that this cover is never used with any other module. The 1771-IBD Series B module is a 10-20V DC input supply module and it is fully compatible with all other chassis except the 1771 A1, A2, and A4 chassis or any other discrete output module may be used within the same module group.

The 1771-IBD Series B Input Module requires 130mA from the output supply which is the 1771 I/O chassis backplane supply. Operators can drive the terminals directly on a 10-30V DC input module from any terminals of the following input channels; the 1771-OBV, 1771-OBD, and 1771-OQ.

The module has a selectable off-delay filter time of 1ms and 6ms and you can use either. When shipped, the module is pre-set to 1ms and for switching to 6ms users will need to power off the I/O chassis and then sliding their fingers on the jumper to roll over to 6ms.

The off-delay filter-time configuration plug is on top-left edge of the printed circuit board. Keying of the 1771-IBD Series B Module can be done from any slot between pins 10-12 and 16-18, as long as it is not the left-most slot that is meant for adaptors and processors. There are indicators on the front panel of the module with a green one showing that the module is active and sixteen others for the 16 input channels indicated in red when powered. The minimum off-state current of the 1771-IBD module is 2.0mA at 5V DC and the maximum off-state current of 5V DC.
