Function

Protocol Translation and Data Mapping: The module intelligently translates messages between the DH-485 and DeviceNet protocols. This allows data to be seamlessly mapped and exchanged between devices on either network, regardless of their native communication method. For instance, a MicroLogix controller on DH-485 can read inputs from a DeviceNet I/O block, and vice-versa.

Network Acting as Master/Scanner: On the DeviceNet side, the 1761-NET-DNI can function as a DeviceNet scanner (master), actively polling and communicating with multiple DeviceNet slave devices. This enables DH-485 PLCs to control and gather data from a range of DeviceNet components like variable frequency drives, sensors, and actuators.
