More Description of AB 1747-L511
The Allen-Bradley 1747-L511 is a modular hardware style 5/01 processor in the SLC 500 product family. The 1747-L511 is compatible with the 1747-M1 and 1747-M2 EEPROM memory modules which have 1K user words and 4K user words respectively. The 1747-L511 is also compatible with the 1747-M5 memory module. The 1747-L511 has an absolute maximum of 960 local I/O. Program scan time for the processor is 8ms. It has a maximum of 480 local analog Inputs and Outputs. In addition, it has a typical scan time of 2.6ms and 30 I/O module slots found in the local I/O chassis. The number of local I/O chassis is a maximum of 3. The 1747-L511 provides LED indicators for PC RUN, CPU FAULT, FORCED I/O and BATTERY LOW. These indicators help in monitoring the performance of the 1747-L511 and aid in pinpointing possible faults. The 1747-L511 has a backplane current of 90mA at 5V and 0mA at 24V DC. It has no heat dissipation per point but has a minimum of 1.75W and a maximum of 1.75W. Since the 1747-L511 is a modular processor, it gives complete control during system configuration.
