Description
The Allen-Bradley 1747-DCM is a Direct Communication Module for connecting an SLC 500 controller to a distributed processing system via Remote I/O (RIO) link. It supports communication between I/O adapters and controllers, using Belden 9463 cable for wiring. The module draws 360mA at 5V and dissipates 1.80 watts of thermal power. It features FAULT and COMM LED indicators for easy troubleshooting, with the FAULT LED signaling errors and the COMM LED indicating normal operation. The module requires two addresses: one for the SLC processor and another for the supervisory scanner.
