The 1606-XLS120E power supply has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as a member of the 1606 series of power supplies. It is rated at 5 Amps and 24 Volts and for single-phase input. The 1606-XLS120E power supply is designed to be as small as possible and with features like an extra-low inrush current level, active correction for the power factor, a wide range of both AC input and DC input, and LED indicators. There is an LED that shows that the DC power level is OK, and an LED that alerts the users about overloads. The 1606-XLS120E power supply uses the technology of synchronous rectification to be both highly compact and highly efficient. The primary functions of this power supply include starting motors, charging capacitors, and absorbing reverse energy. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1606-XLS120E power supply has an output voltage rating of 24 Volts DC with an adjustment range between 24 and 28 Volts DC. It can support 5 Amps of continuous output current at 24 Volts DC and 120 Watts of continuous output power at 24 Volts DC. The AC input voltage range is 100 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz while the DC input voltage range is 110 to 300 Volts DC. The 1606-XLS120E power supply is over 90% efficient. At 120 to 230 Volts DC, the holdup time will be between 34 and 65 milliseconds. The 1606-XLS120E power supply is approved by the CE and UL standards. It is compatible with a variety of optional devices such as wall-mounting brackets and redundancy power supply modules if certain systems or applications require them. |
