Allen Bradley 1747-KE Description

The 1747-KE Module has several useful features, including three communication ports, eight LED indicators, and jumpers.  

The 1747-KE Interface Module ports found on the front of the module are labeled CONFIG, DF1, and DH485. The 1747-KE Module may be used to configure the 1747-KE with an ASCII terminal. 

1747-KE Interface Module operates at speeds of 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200 Kbps, and 1747-KE Module is isolated at 500V dc. The 1747-KE Interface Module allows for connections to a modem or other devices which utilize DF1 capabilities.

CONFIG Port: The 1747-KE Interface Module is used for module configuration via an ASCII terminal, supporting RS-232/423, RS-422, and RS-485 communication interfaces with configurable baud rates from 300 to 19200 Kbps (including 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200 Kbps), and features 500V DC electrical isolation.

DF1 Port: 1747-KE Interface Module utilizes the DF1 protocol to interface with modems or other user devices, supporting RS-232/423, RS-422, and RS-485 communication interfaces. 1747-KE Module operates at standard baud rates ranging from 300 to 19200 Kbps and provides 500V DC electrical isolation.

Distributed Equipment Remote Monitoring System: 1747-KE Module Using the DF1 port to connect to an industrial modem enables wireless (e.g., 4G/5G) data acquisition and status monitoring for remote pump stations or oil and gas pipeline valve chambers.

Multi-node Workshop-level Equipment Network:1747-KE Module Using the DH-485 port with a 1747-AIC link coupler to connect multiple SLC 500 processors, HMIs, and variable frequency drives on a single bus, establishing a control network for small to medium-sized manufacturing workshops.
