Honeywell Robots: How Our Warehouse Finally Got a Grip

Honestly, before we started using Honeywell’s robots, our warehouse was hectic. Pallets stacked everywhere, staff running back and forth, and layouts changing all the time. Our old conveyors and AGVs just couldn’t keep up, and mistakes were happening more than we liked.

Then we brought in the Flexley Mover P604, one of Honeywell’s Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). Unlike older AGVs, these don’t need tracks. They carry heavy loads, detect obstacles, and adapt automatically when the layout changes. That’s what Intelligent Mobility looks like in real life. Compared with some older setups using ABB Robotics, these robots were faster to set up and way easier for our team to manage.

A Day in the Warehouse

Let me tell you how a typical day goes now.

By 9 a.m., our staff are already busy picking, packing, and checking orders. Meanwhile, the Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) quietly move pallets around. Each Flexley Mover P604 can carry up to 600 kg, which immediately relieved our staff from pushing heavy pallets all day.

The robots use 3D Visual SLAM to find their way. I remember one morning a forklift accidentally blocked a path. The robot didn’t stop—it found a new route on its own. I actually said out loud, “That’s amazing!” That’s Mobile Automation in action.

Safety is another big win. Laser scanners make the robot slow down or stop when someone walks nearby. We saw minor accidents drop almost immediately. And the batteries last 8–12 hours, so the robots work all day without interruption. Using AMR Studio, we can assign tasks, change routes, or check on multiple robots at once, without needing special training.

Honestly, the biggest change is how staff feel. They’re not exhausted from moving pallets anymore—they focus on packing, checking orders, and solving small problems.
